TRVLSOCIAL prelaunch
Privacy Policy
Version trvlsocial-prelaunch-2026-10-07 · Last updated 7 October 2026
TRVLSOCIAL is a prelaunch product preparing to launch in December 2026. This policy explains what we collect during prelaunch registration, why, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and the private profile you can create on it. Plain language first:
- We collect what prelaunch registration needs: your email address, the profile details you choose to enter, and your policy and consent choices.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Your profile is private by default. A limited public presence is strictly opt-in, and your contact details are never publicly displayed.
- We share data only with the service providers that operate TRVLSOCIAL, listed in this policy.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
Email address. Your email is your account identity and the address we send sign-in links to. We use email links instead of passwords, so no password is ever stored.
Traveler profile. If you create one: your first and last name, city, and region (state or country); optionally a mobile number and gender; your age range; what you are looking for; up to 12 interests; and up to 12 bucket-list wishes.
Business profile. If you register a business: contact name, business name, location, category, an optional website or social link, and a short description.
Public presence (optional). If you opt in: the handle you choose, whether your profile is public, and follows between members with public profiles. A public profile is a public page: anyone with the link — signed in or not — can see your handle, first name and last initial, city, interests, the communities you join, and your follower and following counts. The page is kept out of search engines, but that does not limit who can open the link. Email, mobile number, last name, region, age range, gender, budgets, wishes and travel plans are never part of it.
Consent records. Whether you opted into launch news, and which version of this policy and our Terms you acknowledged, with a timestamp.
Technical records. Our authentication provider records standard technical information (such as IP address) to deliver sign-in links and prevent abuse. To keep you signed in and remember your pending signup choice, this site stores a session record in your browser's local storage, and your pending choice (such as whether you registered as a traveler or business) in browser local storage and, until you save a profile or business details, with your account at our authentication provider. No other cookies are set without your choice.
Optional analytics. Analytics are currently disabled. If we enable them, we will offer a separate, off-by-default choice. Only if you explicitly opt in may Google Analytics set cookies in your browser to measure page visits on a small, fixed set of public pages (the six listed at supported analytics pages) — never on account, business, checkout or other private pages, never with page queries, and never with advertising or personalized advertising features. Where the choice is available, you can change or withdraw it on those pages opened without a query or address fragment. Withdrawing stops future measurement and removes this site’s analytics cookies from your browser; it does not erase information already sent to Google before you withdrew. Until you opt in, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is measured.
How we use it
To create your account, sign you in with email links, and save the private profile you edit. To send the emails you asked for: sign-in links, and occasional launch news only if you opted in. To prepare the launch, including in aggregate form (for example, how many registrations a city has).
During prelaunch we do not run advertising, tracking pixels, automated profiling, or any matching between members. Nothing you enter is shown publicly unless you explicitly turn on your public presence — and then the public page carries your handle, first name and last initial, city, interests, the communities you join, and your follower and following counts, each of which you can switch off at any time.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information, and your contact details are not publicly displayed or sold. We share personal information only with the providers that operate the service, as needed:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for TRVLSOCIAL (currently in the us-east-1 region).
- Google Cloud — runs this website and its pages (Cloud Run hosting; the site is moving to it and until the switch completes some pages may still load from Firebase Hosting).
- Google Analytics — currently disabled. If enabled later, only after your separate opt-in, as described under Optional analytics above.
- Stripe — hosts checkout and processes payments. We send your email address when available, booking and payment references, the experience title, and payment amounts and currencies to create your checkout.
- Resend — delivers requested sign-in links and profile or business confirmation emails. Email addresses and the content needed for these messages are shared with Resend for delivery.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to. That is the full list for prelaunch; if it changes, this policy changes with it.
Email delivery during prelaunch
Supabase creates your sign-in link and Resend delivers it from info@trvlsocial.com. We also send one confirmation when your traveler profile or business details are first saved. Replies to confirmation emails go to info@trvlsport.com. These service messages are separate from optional launch news. Open and click tracking are disabled. Delivery may be delayed or filtered by your email provider; check spam if a requested link does not arrive.
Your choices and rights
You can opt out of launch news at any time (unsubscribe from any such email, or tell us by email). You can switch your public presence off at any time — your public page and discoverability are removed immediately. Follows you already have are kept (hidden) while you are private and return if you make the profile public again; they are not deleted by going private. You can access and correct your profile by signing in and editing it. You can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing info@trvlsport.com. Signing out ends the session on your device.
We do not use your information in ways that require credit decisions or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and security
We keep your prelaunch data to operate the prelaunch service, and we delete it when you ask us to.
Traffic is encrypted in transit, your profile records are scoped to your signed-in account, and the browser only ever holds public API keys. No online service is perfectly secure — please only enter what prelaunch registration actually needs.
Age requirement
TRVLSOCIAL is for adults. You must be 18 or older to register (our age ranges start at 18).
Changes to this policy
This policy is version-stamped. If we make material changes we will update the version, date and content here, and where feasible email account holders. Continuing to use TRVLSOCIAL after a change means you acknowledge the updated policy. The version you acknowledged at registration is recorded with your profile.
Supported analytics pages
If analytics are enabled in the future and you opt in, these are the only pages it can measure, with page queries and address fragments always excluded: the home page (/), Explore, Destinations, Our Story, Privacy (/privacy), and Terms (/terms). Any other page — including your account, business and checkout pages — is never measured.
